Barcelona Airport Guide - Work in Progress

The Barcelona Airport Guide is coming together slowly - I've only got to create the Barcelona Airport Transport and Flights to Barcelona pages.

Here's how the Main Page looks at the moment.

Barcelona Airport Guide

Barcelona-El Prat Airport Information

The Barcelona Airport Guide provides in depth information about Barcelona-El Prat Airport including airport maps, real time flight arrival and departure stats, flight booking, car hire, airport hotels and public and private transport to Barcelona city centre.

Barcelona-El Prat is the main airport for Barcelona City and Province.

Be careful as some low-cost airlines and travel firms adverise Girona Airport (90 km from Barcelona), Reus Airport (105 km) and recently opened Lleida Airport (130km) as Barcelona Airport.

Barcelona Airport is located 12 kilometres south-west of Barcelona city centre in between the towns of El Prat, Viladecans and Sant Boi.

You will find a full size map of the Barcelona to Sitges coastline and access roads to El Prat Airport on the Barcelona Airport Car Hire page.

Barcelona-El Prat has two terminals - the new T1 and the old T2 - and if you need to travel between them you will find a map and information about the airport shuttle bus on the Barcelona Airport Map page and more information about buses, trains and taxis to Barcelona on the Barcelona Airport Transport page.

Flights To and From Barcelona

Nearly 30 million passengers use Barcelona Airport each year making it Europe's 10th busiest airport.

Our Barcelona Airport Arrivals and Barcelona Airport Departures provides a full information on incoming and outgoing flights in real time.

Most of the traffic at Barcelona Airport is Domestic, European and North African, as the number of intercontinental connections is well below other European airports with a similar level of passenger traffic.

Most major European airlines fly to Barcelona and El Prat Airport is a main base for Spanair and Vueling and a focus city for Air Europa and Iberia.

In recent years the traffic of low-cost airlines has grown significantly and apart from Vueling airlines include easyJet, WizzAir, and Ryanair who have established a new base at the airport starting September 2010.

You can use the Search Boxes on the Flights To Barcelona page to find flights to and from all international and domestic destinations.
