Legend has it that if you drink water of this fountain you will always return to Catalonia. I don't know if it's coincidence or not but way back in 1986, I came to Barcelona on holiday and on a hot sightseeing day, stopped off here to quench my thirst. I came back to live in Barcelona two years later and haven't left since, so perhaps there's some truth in the legend.
The other thing Canaletes is famous for is as the place that FC Barcelona fans come to celebrate Barça's victories. It's been quite busy over the last few years as Pep Guardiola's magnificent team has won the majority of competitions they've participated in.
